African Mahogany
Mahogany has a flexible, thick and rough grain with reddish brown color that darkens over time and possesses a beautiful reddish sheen when polished. Graining is relatively free of voids and pockets. Sapwood is not always clearly distinguishable from that of the heartwood, being initially uniform pale pink to red brown color, but which darkens to a rich reddish-brown upon exposure. Mahogany's texture is variable, but typically medium to coarse with an excellent finish.
