African Cherry (Padouk)
The sapwood of padouk tends to be a very uniform cream/pale beige color, while the heartwood contains rich reddish-orange tones that over time ages to a deep reddish or purple brown color sometimes even black. Padouk is moderately coarse with large pores and a mixture of straight and interlocking grain. .
